PLANNING, PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION

Every step in the production of a Kalthoff raised floor, from planning to installation, is carried out by our in-house team of specialists. As a result, you have our guarantee that your raised floor will meet both the highest manufacturing standards and your specific requirements. Our raised floor systems are designed using precise grid plans created in AutoCAD. We then custom-manufacture your raised floor in our in-house production facilities. All of our components are modular, which means you benefit from maximum efficiency and low costs. Our experienced fitters install your raised floor on site and tailor the installation precisely to local conditions and/or special features as required.
PLANNING
After we have prepared our offer for your building project and received your order confirmation, we start to plan your raised floor and prepare a grid plan for your approval. The grid plan shows the floor plan of the room, the parameters for the raised floor and the desired arrangement of the switchboards. We send you the grid plan for review, usually as a PDF file, and for your written approval. Until the final plans are approved, you can request changes at any time, which means that you have ample opportunity to make last-minute adjustments.
PRODUCTION
Once you have approved the plans, we use the grid plan to create a list of components for your raised floor. All of the components for the substructure are manufactured in our metalworking shop. The pedestals are adjusted to match the custom height of your raised floor and the base frames for your switchboards and any railings are welded from square galvanised tubing. Our carpenter’s workshop produces all of the composite wood floor panels, stairs and other accessories, and fits your chosen floor panel coverings. As soon as it is ready, your order is completely pre-assembled and prepared for shipping and on-site assembly.
SHIPPING
Your raised floor can be shipped to you or directly to the construction site, where it can be installed by appropriate specialists on the basis of the supplied installation plans. Panels around the edges of the raised floor will usually have to be specially cut in order to compensate for structural tolerances.
INSTALLATION
If you want our experienced fitters to install your raised floor, our installation team will deliver and professionally install all of the components in accordance with the agreed grid plan. Acceptance and transfer of risk take place immediately after your raised floor has been fully installed. At this point, suction lifters and other accessories will also be handed over to the site’s managers.
- The turnaround time from your order to installation is approximately 3-4 weeks.
- As an alternative to German labelling, we can also provide English labels, e.g. for international shipping.
- Our installation teams typically consist of two fitters. All of our fitters are electrically instructed persons (EIP) and are proficient speakers of German.
- We specialise in supplying and installing raised technical access floors in electrical equipment rooms, such as MSR rooms, high and low voltage system rooms, control rooms, transformer rooms, etc.
MODIFICATION, MAINTENANCE AND SUBSEQUENT UPGRADES
Our raised floors can be modified and upgraded at any time, thus guaranteeing that they always provide an optimal and secure foundation for your installations and satisfy your long-term requirements.
